Hi, my name is Bodhi and I’m the Vice-President of Saltare. I started doing gymnastics when I was 6 years old at ‘Swentibold’, a big gymnastics association in my hometown, Sittard. Until I was 17 years old, I competed in both regional and national gymnastics competitions but I eventually decided to quit gymnastics. In September 2018 I realised that I missed gymnastics way too much and that’s when I joined Saltare. I can only say that was the best decision for me. The past year I got to know Saltare and all its amazing members and I have to admit that I love this associations with all my heart now.
I started off as an International Business Administration student at Tilburg University last year but I soon realised that it wasn’t my thing. I ended up applying for med-school at Radboud University in Nijmegen and I am happy to say that I got in. Because of my love for Saltare, I decided to do a board year, even though I am living in Nijmegen now.
As a person, people describe me often as ‘a happy egg’ (it’s a Dutch saying, look it up!) and I think that description suits me well: I’m kind of all over the place, talking way to much, making stupid jokes, and if you’re ever training at Saltare and see an instant twerk battle, I’m probably part of it. Besides studying and doing gymnastics, I love to travel (especially backpacking in unknown countries) and I would say I’m a real ‘gezelligheidsmens’, so I love being with my friends.
I am looking forward to another amazing year with Saltare and a hopefully successful board year.
